Dayton Community Health Center Announces Name Change and New Logo

New branding identity’s goal is to increase reach and access to affordable primary, dental, and behavioral healthcare throughout the Dayton region.

Dayton, Ohio— April 28, 2026 — Community Health Centers of Greater Dayton (CHCGD), established in 2008, today announced the official launch of its company-wide rebrand

Starting with a name update to First Flight Health Centers, this change reflects CHCGD’s commitment to increasing access to affordable primary and preventative healthcare, while decreasing patient barriers to our quality services. The revamp also demonstrates a renewed effort to re-establish the nonprofit organization within the community.

Along with the new name comes a new logo. Featuring an image of the Wright Brothers’ First Flying project, the “Wright Kite” symbolizes CHCGD’s identity as the First Federally Qualified Health Center in Dayton, Ohio, and reiterates the organization’s goal of helping patients take a “First Flight” in their health journey.

Accompanying the new name and logo is a redesigned, informative website, plus a new organizational tagline: “Care you can trust. Care you can afford.”

“This rebrand marks an important moment in our organization’s evolution and in our commitment to the communities we serve,” noted Shaun’ta Whitehead, CEO of Community Health Centers of Greater Dayton. “First Flight reflects the idea that every health journey begins with a first step, whether it’s a first appointment, a first diagnosis, or a first step toward a healthier future,” she added. “As First Flight Health Centers, we are building on that promise by continuing to provide affordable, high-quality care close to home, and being a dependable starting point for every individual seeking a path to better health.”

First Flight Health Center’s mission remains steadfast: Improving lives by providing quality primary and preventive health care services to those in need, regardless of ability to pay.
