About Amanda
Amanda graduated from Wright State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in 2014. She then earned her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from the University of Cincinnati in 2019 and became a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). She is currently pursuing both her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree and a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certificate through the University of Cincinnati.

Throughout her career, Amanda has gained experience in both primary care and substance use treatment. She worked at The Little Clinic, where she provided primary care services, and has spent the past five years specializing in substance use disorder treatment. These experiences have allowed her to develop a strong foundation in patient-centered care and the management of both acute and chronic health conditions.

Amanda chose to become a nurse practitioner because she wanted the opportunity to make a greater impact on the lives of her patients. Early in her nursing career, she worked with individuals affected by substance use disorders and felt a strong calling to this field. She was inspired by the resilience of these patients and the meaningful difference that compassionate, evidence-based care can make in their recovery journey.

Amanda’s approach to care is centered on caring for the whole person, not just their diagnosis. She strives to build trusting relationships with her patients by listening to their concerns, understanding their goals, and meeting them where they are in their healthcare journey. She utilizes a harm reduction approach, focusing on practical strategies that improve health, reduce risk, and support positive outcomes while respecting each patient’s individual circumstances and choices.

Outside of work, Amanda enjoys reading, hiking with her husband, visiting amusement parks, and playing video games with her son. These activities help her recharge, stay active, and spend quality time with her family.
